Terms & Conditions

 

Membership wristbands must be shown on each occasion to register attendance.

Membership wristbands are non-transferable, and require a £5 deposit.

Damaged, lost or stolen wristbands must be reported immediately. A replacement fee will be charged.

The discovery of any false information leading to the issue of a membership wristband could result in its cancellation and appropriate action being taken.

Membership

thePoint4 reserves the right to refuse any application for membership, terminate a membership or refuse admission to any of its facilities.

thePoint4 reserves the right to amend or withdraw benefits offered with any of its memberships.

30 days’ notice is required for all membership amendments or cancellations. Any fees charged within that period will not be refunded. A cancellation or amendment form can be obtained from thePoint4 Reception.

You are able to cancel a direct debit at any time by simply writing to your bank or building society. Please also notify thePoint4 via a cancellation form which can be obtained from Reception. A minimum of 30 days’ notice is required for cancellations or amendments. Refunds will not be given for part months if thePoint4 is not notified of the changes.

You will be asked to have your photograph taken for your membership records, this is a necessity for thePoint4 to ensure correct use of membership.

 

Facilities

Facilities are subjected to availability/session times and opening hours.

thePoint4 Gym

Appropriate clothing and footwear for the activity being undertaken must be worn at all times.

Please seek medical advice before undertaking any exercise if you are unaccustomed to activity or returning to exercise following illness or injury.

Any medical problems and/or illness arising following reading the Health Statement (a copy of which can be attained from Reception) MUST be disclosed to a Gym/Class Instructor.

All gym users must have an induction, which includes a health screen, prior to the use of the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and effective workout.

Please bring a small towel to wipe down equipment after use. Your consideration of fellow users is appreciated.

Towel Laundry Service

An annual subscription for a towel laundry service can be purchased from reception. Towel cards must be handed in at Reception each time you wish to utilise the service. Once used all towels should then be returned to Reception, the towel card will be given back to the member.

Physical Condition of Member

The member warrants and represents that he/she is in good physical condition and that he/she is capable of engaging in active and passive exercise and that such exercise would not be detrimental to their health, safety, comfort or physical condition. By signing the membership form the member is aware of this and will visit his/her GP before taking part in any physical activity provided by thePoint4ifit is felt necessary. Members are required to inform thePoint4 of any changes to their physical/medical conditions ASAP.

Lost Property

Any lost property found must be handed in to thePoint4 Reception. Items will be retained for a period of 2 weeks. “The management reserve the right to dispose of any unclaimed items after this period.” thePoint4 will then pass any items to a local charity shop.

Any items deemed unhygienic or unsanitary will be disposed of at first instance upon being found.

Accidents / Incidents

thePoint4 cannot accept liability for any accident or incident that occurs on the premises. Any member that suffers an accident at the centre must report this situation to an Assistant Manager following the accident where first aid will be given if required, and an investigation into the incident will be completed by staff.

thePoint4 members may book classes up to 8 days in advance.

Pre-booked activities may be cancelled with a minimum of 4 hours’ notice. Repeated non-attendances may result in losing booking privileges, we politely ask that you endeavour to notify us of any bookings you are unable to make.

In taking out membership, members agree to abide by the Admissions policy located by Reception within thePoint4 centre.

Opening Times

thePoint4 will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. We may also offer a reduced service on Bank Holidays and over the Christmas period.

thePoint4 reserves the right to close the centre for essential maintenance, large events and refurbishment purposes. Prior notice will be given for such work unless circumstances fall outside the control of thePoint4 and create the necessity for immediate works.
