Dan Barker – Personal Training
Hey! I’m Dan – I am the Fitness Manager here at thePoint4 and I’m very proud to be a part of something special.
I have been in the fitness industry since 2009, working in private and public gyms as a fitness instructor, Personal Trainer, Class Instructor and Gym Manager. I first found my passion for fitness at school, where I had my own personal journey to weight loss which led me to boxing at amateur level. I went on to Hartpury College and completed my relevant fitness qualifications, which I then implemented into helping other people achieve their own personal journey. The more impact I had on other peoples’ lives, the more it motivated me to go above and beyond to make sure my clients got what they wanted… and fully deserved!
Over the years, I have learnt how to adapt myself as a trainer to different types of clientele with many variations of goals. I can do 1-2-1 and small group sessions which I keep varied, fun but challenging. I have trained clients who have special needs, stroke recovery, improve body composition, fat loss, sport specific, muscle gain and just general fitness. I always make sure I give my clients alternatives when dealing with any setbacks physically or mentally. I am a slave driver, I will push you hard and make you work. But I am also very fair, I make it fun and motivational for you to enjoy. I am a big believer of “you get out what you put in” all you need to do is turn up and bring your “A” game, and I will do the rest.
