RNC Hereford tops the European Blind Football League after third round fixtures at thePoint4
There was football fever at thePoint4 on 8 April as teams from across Europe descended on Hereford to take part in the third round of the new European Blind Football League.
RNC Hereford topped the League going into the day’s competition and after the first game – a top of the table clash with Cecifoot Charleroi ending 2-2 – the status quo remained. RNC’s second match of the day against the Romanian National Team ended in victory for RNC (5-0) but Charleroi also took a win against Borussia Dortmund, which means RNC still top the League as they head into the fourth round in Germany in May.
It was a fantastic festival of football, which was streamed live with commentary and pitch side interviews. Huge thanks to the main stream sponsor Cube International and to CJP Broadcast Service Solutions Ltd, who produced a flawless production of all five matches and to all of the advertisers, volunteers and staff at the College who helped put on this showcase of Blind Football.
