The Royal National College for the Blind is delighted to announce that it will be hosting the third round of this season’s European Blind Football League on Saturday 30 March 2024, here at thePoint4.

RNC Hereford represents the nation as the sole contender in this League, and after finishing runners-up in the competition’s inaugural season, their sights are firmly set on securing the coveted title this year.

This season’s participating teams are Bondy Cécifoot Club (France), Borussia Dortmund (Germany), Cécifoot Charleroi (Belgium), ASDD Roma (Italy), Pirsos Thessaloniki (Greece), and RNC Hereford (England).

In addition, we are holding a Family Festival and everyone is invited to get involved and experience some different forms of blind sports for themselves:

• Speed Cage – how fast can you kick a ball blindfolded?
• 3 v 3 Inflatable Football Pitch – try out blind football.
• Goalball – try a unique sport for the blind.
• Tennis – can you play blindfolded?

After all that sport, relax with a massage provided by some of RNC’s Massage and Complementary Therapies students, or get your face painted with your favourite team’s colours by Looby Lou!

Along with some of our favourite food trucks, including Beefy Boys, Rose & Ramble and more – this is a day not to be missed.
