As summer draws to a close and the shorter days are on the horizon, I’ve been reflecting on the past few months and looking ahead to what we have to come for the remainder of 2026.
Our current membership numbers are at a record high, which is a fantastic reflection of the value for money, great customer service and welcoming environment that we strive to provide here at thePoint4. Despite these high numbers, the Centre still feels very manageable, and I’m confident that, with our adaptability and continued commitment to our members, this will remain the case for years to come. It’s a real pleasure welcoming new members into our facility and creating a genuine sense of community for both new and existing customers.
We’ve also made great strides in building relationships and creating connections outside of thePoint4. I’m absolutely delighted to be welcoming Hybrid HFD to our facility in November, as our old friend Ben Harwood returns to put on a Hybrid fitness race right here in Herefordshire. We’re really looking forward to supporting the event and welcoming participants through our doors.
You will also have seen our recent partnership with Hereford Pegasus FC, who pride themselves on being one of Herefordshire’s leading clubs for player pathways and development. We will be working closely with teams across the club, and we can’t wait to play our part in their development for many seasons to come. We may also have something else exciting to share with you in the near future; however, we are still in the early stages of discussions around this new partnership, so watch this space…
With our RNC students returning in September comes a busier car park. A reminder that we have St Barnabas Church car park available to use should we run short of spaces at thePoint4. There are no time restrictions, and the car park is available in line with our opening hours.
You will have noticed some significant improvements around the Centre, both cosmetically and structurally, over the summer. Our 4G pitch has had a marketing makeover, we’ve made a number of cosmetic improvements across our studios, and I’m delighted that the weighted area in the gym is now back open and fully functional.
We rolled out our trial of the Boditrax machine several months ago, which has been a fantastic added perk for our members. I can now confirm that, following a successful period of member use, the Boditrax is officially ours for good!
Speaking of summer, we’ve certainly been a hub of football camps and tournaments. We’ve welcomed teams from the USA, Poland, Japan and England to the Centre this summer for a Tri Nations tournament, alongside numerous camps for England Goalball and Football teams. We are incredibly lucky to have the facilities that we do, and we can’t wait to welcome these teams back in the future as we continue to build our relationship with the English FA.
With an ever-growing Centre comes increased workload, and I’m excited to welcome some new members of staff to our team. Emily, Claire and Julie have all joined us, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and customer service experience. Some of you may have already seen these guys around the Centre, but please say hello when you next see them and give them a warm welcome to thePoint4 team.
More members also means more scope for classes, and we regularly listen to your feedback to see where we can make improvements. James has been working behind the scenes on our current class timetable, and we’re delighted to offer another ‘Push the Tempo’ class with Paige every Wednesday evening. There may also be some other changes coming, so watch this space…
All of our local clubs will be returning to us over the next month for their winter training in the sports hall and on the 4G pitch, and we can’t wait to welcome them back. We’re incredibly lucky to have so many close connections with local clubs and are honoured to play a small part in their preparation for successful seasons ahead.
Our facility also has some exciting events coming up, with us playing host to Pole Art UK, Circus Starr, Taekwondo UK, Goalball UK and the Herefordshire Junior Futsal League throughout the remainder of the year. It’s fantastic to see the Centre being used by such a wide range of organisations and communities, and we’re looking forward to another busy few months.
So, what’s next for the rest of 2026?
In just a few weeks, we have our annual Wellbeing Day, which is set to be the biggest one yet! If you haven’t got your tickets, there are still some available from reception, so make sure you don’t miss out.
Then comes Black Friday, when we’ll be offering discounted membership rates. Keep an eye on our social media channels throughout November for more information and some great offers.
And finally… Christmas!
Christmas tends to be a relatively quiet spell for us, but this year we’ll continue to work closely with Hereford Food Bank as a donation drop-off point, helping to provide much-needed food and provisions to local families throughout the festive period.
Finally, a huge THANK YOU to all of our members, clubs, teams and booking customers who continue to support us and make thePoint4 such a great place to work and visit. It’s a pleasure to welcome you into the Centre, and all of the hard work and improvements we’ve committed to are ultimately about ensuring you have a positive, enjoyable experience every time you visit us.
There is always more we can do, and we’re excited to continue improving across all areas of thePoint4. Thank you for being part of our community, and here’s to a busy, exciting and successful remainder of 2026!
